[SBB] Yellow-bellied Sapsucker continues, Linda Barrett's Nutmeg Mannikin photo

The Yellow-bellied Sapsucker found by Garth Harwood on 2/2/05 was still present at Hidden Villa on Friday, 3/11/05. At 2:30p, I walked up to the conifer at the Y in the roadway at the back end of the valley and the sapsucker was immediately visible. It flew further up the road, a short distance, to a tall tree with dead leaves, still on the left side of the road, near the yurt across the road from the private residence with the magnolia tree. I was able to observe and photograph the bird in good light. (Unfortunately, my camera settings were awry and my images were a bit dark.)

After a minute or so, the bird flew further, yet, up the Adobe Creek drainage, behind the barn with the horse and goats (I forgot the horse's name, it was on a sign). I lost track of it there. I waited at the magnolia tree for a while longer, hoping that it might visit it on its rounds. But pending errands forced me to leave. I've posted a few of the images on my website.

I've also posted Linda Barrett's photo of the Nutmeg Mannikin that Gordon Barrett mentioned on SBB yesterday.
