Hello all,
Four of my nestboxes that I checked at Arastradero Preserve had nest starts today 3/11/2005, most or all of them Oak Titmouse nests. A couple looked ready for eggs with complete fur linings in their centers, but none had eggs yet. A talkative male Blue-gray Gnatcatcher was in a large Live Oak tree where I have seen them nest before. A Red-breasted Sapsucker was in the adjacent Valley Oak, and nearby there was an Anna's Hummingbird nest with 2 eggs under incubation.
