[SBB] looking for Volunteer



Wildlife Rescue, Inc is a 501(c)(3) organization with the mission to fully
provide for the welfare of local wildlife and its coexistence with our
community through rehabilitation, education and example.  A majority of the
over 2000 animals we took care of last year were birds (the rest are small
mammals).

 

We are looking for Clinic Volunteers to help care for injured and/or
orphaned wildlife.  The Clinic Volunteers work hands on in rehabbing theses
animals.  Mainly the Clinic Volunteer is responsible for the day to day care
including feeding and weighing of animals, preparing diets, maintaining
hygiene and cleanliness in the shelter, medicating animals according to med
slips and other general tasks.  Clinic Volunteers are required to commit to
one shift per week, shift are available 7 days a week and are as follows
Early Morning 7am - 9:30 am, Morning 9am-2pm, Afternoon 1:30pm-6 pm, Evening
5:30pm-10pm.  Full training is provided

Founded in 1974, Wildlife Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization
governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. Our important work is carried
out by a small core of paid employees and a large number of dedicated
volunteers. Wildlife Rescue has over 1,000 members.

 

The mission of Wildlife Rescue is to serve the community by instilling an
awareness of and appreciation for local wildlife and by providing a resource
for wildlife rehabilitation. We care for, owls, doves, water birds,
songbirds, squirrels, opossums and other injured and orphaned local
wildlife. We also offer educational programs that teach respect for all
living things, with the goal of encouraging a harmonious co-existence
between humans and wildlife.
