[SBB] Orange-crowned Warbler (Stevens Creek CP)

SBBers,

This afternoon (03/02/05) at the Stevens Creek CP I hiked up the Coyote Ridge Trail via the Tony Look Trail. A flock of 15 PINE SISKINs foraged in the trees along the creek as a TOWNSEND'S WARBLER foraged high in a tree across the creek. Along the Coyote Ridge Trail there were at least 5 ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLERs. It was such a pleasure to see and hear them again. The whole walk was enhanced by bird song. Two CALIFORNIA THRASHERs sang/called as did the DARK-EYED JUNCOs, OATMICE, WRENTITs, RED-SHOULDERED HAWK, NORTHERN FLICKER, CEDAR WAXWINGs (12), HUTTON'S VIREO, BEWICK'S WRENs, etc.

Good birding,
Peggy Don
