Re: [SBB] Help for injured gull

Talk to City Naturalist Deb Bartens at the Lucy Evans Nature Center in Palo Alto Baylands (end of Embarcadero Road). They were sending egret nestlings who fell out of nests to Suisun Animal Rescue in the East Bay. She has all their contact indo.

Hello,

I'm hoping someone on this list knows who to contact to get an injured bird
some help. There is a Gull, probably Western, at Sunnyvale Baylands Park
with a badly mangled wing. The bird seems to be in fairly good shape except
for a wing that appears to have been almost pulled off of the body. I can
see blood along the side and at least part of the wing hangs there.

Tonight the Gull was in the fenced field near the end of the wooden walkway.
I think the county is responsible for this preserve rather than the city of
Sunnyvale. I first saw the Gull last night.

If anyone can help I'm sure this bird would appreciate it and I know I
would.
