[SBB] Shorebird Way Great Egrets

All,

During the Palo Alto Summer Bird Count on 6/4/05, I saw 5 GREAT EGRETS 
along Stevens Creek north of highway 101 and I saw additional birds 
flying over Charleston Road marsh.  At the time, I assumed I was seeing 
some of the same birds over and over, but after checking out the 
Shorebird Way heronry reported by Lennie Stovel and finding at least 12 
active GREAT EGRET nests (ON, NY) I guess I was not in danger of 
overestimating the number of Great Egrets in this area - unfortunately, 
my rambling through this office park on Saturday did not include 
Shorebird Way :(

Under the heronry another DARK-EYED JUNCO was feeding a recently fledged 
BROWN-HEADED COWBIRD.
