I just just to share.
Two days ago someone's Cockatiel escaped here in Campbell. I listened to this Cockatiel calling over and over and over throughout the day. I saw it fly over the house twice, but it was too high for me to catch.
A "Lost Cockatiel" flyer went up in the neighborhood that evening. I called to tell the folks where I had seen their pet. They reported that their bird had been caught and returned to their home. Great - a happy ending!
But now it appears our local Mockingbird also heard the cries of the escaped Cockatiel. Today I have heard our neighborhood Mockingbird interjecting Cockatiel within his repertoire. Wonder if an Aussie accent will catch him a female? I'll have to keep listening.
