[SBB] Henry Coe Park, Manzanita Point

All,

Thursday morning Frank Vanslager and I checked out Henry Coe Park from the
headquarters out to Manzanita Point and part way down the trail to China Hole.
As can be expected this time of the year things were pretty slow. Birds
seen included SAGE SPARROW (half way down the hill to China Hole), LARK
SPARROW, an unusually large "family" group of seven HOUSE WRENS, a HUTTON'S VIREO
(sounding like a Pacific-slope Flycatcher but way too insistent), a CASSIN'S
VIREO, BLUE-GRAY GNATCATCHERS, WESTERN BLUEBIRDS, PURPLE FINCH, OAK TITMOUSE,
NUTTALL'S WOODPECKERS, ACORN WOODPECKERS, WHITE-BREASTED NUTHATCHES, a BLACK
PHOEBE, VIOLET-GREEN SWALLOWS, lots of juvenile DARK-EYED JUNCOS, and a
couple ASH-THROATED FLYCATCHERS. Unfortunately no hoped for Black-chinned
Sparrows :-(

Take care,
Bob Reiling
