Good evening all....
Went to the cemetery (Gates of Heaven Los Altos)...on Christmas Eve....I
was surprised to see only Mallards in the large pond, four Coots, a pair of
Pied-billed Grebes and one Green Heron. Lots of Yellow-rumps
everywhere, Gold and White-crowned Sparrows, Brewer's Blackbird, Robins,
Flickers....and a beautiful pair of Western Bluebirds....
Going back to the cemetery today, there was a single beautiful male Hooded Merganser and two females in the large pond. Also the pair of Pied-billed Grebes were still present. No other birds....very quiet.... Wishing you all a happy healthy birding new year.....
