Hello,
My name is Judy and I'm new here. Actually, compared to some of my friends, I'm kinda new to birding.
I have attached a photo I took yesterday morning. Forgive the quality of the photo. It was a dreary morning and I shot through my window.
The photo is of a Hooded Warbler. It's been hanging around the grounds of my condo complex for at least a week.
If anyone would like to attempt a sighting, the complex is on the corner of Stevens Creek Blvd. and Albany - just South of Lawrence Expressway. There are five 3 story buildings with blue roofs. It's dark when I go to work and dark when I come home so I won't be around during the day to let people in, but most of the grounds can be seen from outside the fence.
If you should come by, you might try the Stevens Creek Blvd. side first. That's the side I saw it on early in the morning and again around 3 or 4 in the afternoon both yesterday and today. It likes to eat the seeds in the little trees with the white (birch like) bark.
