I stopped to bird Bel Gatos Park off Blossom Hill Rd. in Los Gatos after birding with the Wild Bird Center group this morning. I found 9 Townsends Warblers in a variety of trees. An ORANGE CROWED WARBLER (my second this week) was flitting in a live oak tree near the service road. Hermit Thrush, Fox Sparrow, Huttons Vireo, Hairy Woodpecker, Coopers and Sharp shinned Hawk were other notable birds seen in an hour.
