All,
During my lunch-time run today 8/31/05, I found two BANK SWALLOWS on the
wires along the North Perimeter Road here at NASA Ames on Moffett Field
(along the fence that separates Moffett Field from the southern part of
Crittenden Marsh). Both appeared to be juveniles. These two birds also
spent some time foraging out over nearby Crittenden Marsh, but returned
frequently to perch among the BARN SWALLOWS perched here (including
young BASW being fed by adults). There was also a single CLIFF SWALLOW
with the flock.
