Bil Bousman Writes:
July was a slow month with the composite list only increasing by
three species to 253.
We had one 4 for the month, an adult SEMIPALMATED SANDPIPER on 4 Jul
at the Coyote Creek Field Station Waterbird Pond.
Two 5's were found in July. The first was a BANK SWALLOW on 9 Jul at
the Sunnyvale WPCP ponds. Then, on 28 Jul multiple RED KNOTS were
found at the Stevens Creek mouth.
Maybe August will be better for anticipated shorebird rarities. Or
maybe another Louisiana Waterthrush, like last year!
