[SBB] 31 Jul 05

On Sunday, 31 Jul 05, I returned to the CCFS waterbird pond, where I refound
the pair of NORTHERN RED BISHOPS that Mike Rogers, Richard Jeffers, and I
had seen the previous day. This time I observed the female carrying nesting
material in the reeded slough east of the pond. The pond itself had about
750 WILSON'S PHALAROPES and 3 RED-NECKED PHALAROPES. A juvenile LESSER
YELLOWLEGS made a brief appearance. The water is fairly deep right now for
the smaller peeps, but a small group of WESTERN and LEAST SANDPIPERS was in
the southeast corner and was heavily represented by juveniles.
