Hello,
I live at about 2100 feet elevation near the Montebello Open Space reserve,
and put up a Western bluebird house last year in a seemingly ideal location,
on a fencepost near a large open field. There was no interest last year, but
over the past 2-3 weeks I have spotted a pair busily checking out the house,
and at other times I know they are in the vicinity. My question: the fence
is actually quite close to my house (about 10 feet). Is this too near to the
house to be expect that they will choose to use the house?
