Hi All!
At 3 PM today, I almost mowed down the Cunningham GREAT-TAILED GRACKLE. As I was driving west on Cunningham Ave., just north of the park, I expected the "darn crow" to get out of the road. As I got closer I realized that the crow was awfully skinny... by the time I slammed on the brakes, the grackle 'low-tailed' it out of there. It perched on a red pick-up parked in front of 2699 Cunningham Ave., shouted a few choice phrases at me and my car, and flew into the big tree next door. I got great close looks when it came back to the road (the side this time), and then he took off into Lake Cunningham Park.
