I heartily agree with this recommendation! I've been
watching the Osprey on their tufa-situated nests
annually since the late 1980s. The best places to
watch from are the State Tufa Reserve and Navy Beach,
both of which are on the south end of Mono Lake, and
therefore accessible from Hwy 120 East from Hwy 395.
They fish in Rush Creek, among other locations.
