[SBB] Northern Ed Levin County Park and Lake Cunnigham Park

All,

This morning Frank Vanslager and I had great views of a solo, fairly plain
looking, GRASSHOPPER SPARROW about 75 feet up hill of the "Green Gate" and
about 50 feet east of the trail. (The trail that is located above Sandy Wool
Lake and leads to "Sycamore Gulch.") Later on our way back we were unable to
re-find the GRSP. We also had several RUFOUS-CROWNED SPARROWS, GOLDEN-CROWNED
SPARROWS, SONG SPARROWS, WESTERN BLUEBIRDS, a LOGGERHEAD SHRIKE, several (at
least five) WESTERN KINGBIRDS, BULLOCK'S ORIOLES, LESSER GOLDFINCHES, a
NORTHERN HARRIER, and a couple RED-TAILED HAWKS along the trail. At Lake
Cunningham Park we dipped on the Williamson's Sapsucker and the Great-tailed Grackle
but added CASPIAN TERN to our year lists (two closely associating adults).
We also had great views of an adult, breeding plumaged, male MYRTLE WARBLER
(very striking face pattern, bright white throat).

Take care,
Bob Reiling
