[SBB] Arastradero etc.

All,

I had an hour to kill between dropping my son off at the Purissima Little League baseball fields and the start of his game, so I headed over to nearby Arastradero Preserve to look for some recent arrivals. There were plenty about, with 6+ BLUE-GRAY GNATCATCHERS, 1 to 2 singing WARBLING VIREOS, a singing WILSON'S WARBLER, a singing HOUSE WREN, and four species of SWALLOWS (no Cliff). Also had lingering singing YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLERS and RUBY-CROWNED KINGLETS, a GREEN HERON, and nesting pairs of RED-SHOULDERED HAWK and NUTTALL'S WOODPECKER.

Driving back towards Page Mill Road I heard a singing PACIFIC-SLOPE FLYCATCHER off to the right.

While watching the ball game at the Purissima Fields, I saw a pair of COMMON RAVENS building a nest in the tall eucalyptus at the junction with Viscaino, which I believe is a new confirmation for breeding bird atlas block 7535. Also obvious here was the Painted Lady migration, with 75-160 butterflies/minute passing over the field for the 2+ hour game!
