SBBers,
The Western Bluebirds are back in our front yard
today. Third day in a roll. 5 of them again today.
Janet and I have noticed that besides foraging on our
lawn or the neighbors, they seem to like to rumage
through the rain gutters of houses in the
neighborhood. Probably some tasty, clawly, buggy
things in under the leaf clutter, which reminds
me....another "honey do" task before the major rains
begin! I did put up Janet's new rain gauge this
morning. I asked her if she wanted it under the patio
eves so she can check it without getting wet! That
earned me a "$martA$$" reply! (She was paying
attention!)
I keep watching birds and I see and learn something
new. It just seems after many years of not having
Western Bluebirds in our yard they have been here
three days in a row. We aren't that far from Ed Levin
CP, but we had only seen a bluebird once before in the
yard.
We are enjoying them while they are here.
Janet & Randy
Milpitas
