Re: [SBB] Half Moon Bay on Wednesday

Very nice photo, particularly of the kite. My husband and I were at the same location tuesday from @ 6 - 8 p.m. We saw @ 50 kites (not counting closely!), and several immature and adult Red Tail hawks, Red Shouldered Hawks, and a few Northern Harriers.  At dusk the voles started emerging more brazenly from their holes, and a pair of Barn Owls hunted them mercilessly.

Subject: [SBB] Half Moon Bay on Wednesday

Hi All,

My friend James Turley and I took a run up to Half Moon bay to photograph birds this afternoon at about 4PM.  We birded mainly around the big field at the end of Filbert Street. There was quite a bit of activity, especially WHITE-TAILED KITES.  There were various hawks and some little WESTERN MEADOWLARKS around too.  The weather was beautiful.

I snapped a couple of photos if you would like to take a look:

Best to all,
Phil Terzian
