[SBB] Stevens Creek below Hwy 101

Folks:

This morning, 9/19/07, I walked along the east side of Stevens Creek
from Crittenden Lane to Hwy 101 and back. There was a good bit of
wind last night and the front passed through well before dawn. Over
the entire stretch I found only 1 or 2 "WESTERN" FLYCATCHERS. No
warblers (except a couple of HY Common Yellowthroats) or any of our
typical migrants. But my bad luck was a good tail wind for these
little guys, so no regrets. That tail wind may have been responsible
for my first of fall sparrows, including 2 FOX SPARROWS, a LINCOLN'S
SPARROW, and a HY WHITE-CROWNED SPARROW.
