Hi Birders-
This morning I walked the tracks north of the EEC
entrance road in Alviso. In the first pond on the right but out a ways, there
were two Stilt Sandpipers. Vaux's Swifts were along the length of the tracks all
the way out to the last pond, where there was nothing unusual. When I got back
to the car I met Pete LaTourette who said there were four Stilt Sandpipers next
the dirt parking lot along the entrance. I saw them all but they were flushed a
few times by a Red-tail and some Turkey Vultures. Glad to know that six Stilts
are still around. At the salt pond at the EEC it was good to see the Black
Skimmer chicks looking healthy.
