The two WHITE-FACED IBIS reported by Frank Vanslager continued this evening,
when I saw them around 6:30. They were clearly settling in for the night,
so hopefully they will be around tomorrow - lots of preening and standing in
place. Unfortunately they were too far for my still rudimentary photo set
up. They were in a pond west of the "West Pond", best viewed from the
northeast edge of the hill near the parking area. There was also a
PEREGRINE FALCON greedily eyeing the cafeteria of birds laid out before it,
and one rather bedraggled NORTHERN PINTAIL using the middle of the three
control channels there.
