[SBB] Fox Sparrow

I needed a change in scenery and birded in Santa Teresa Park this 
morning. It was beautiful but cool and drizzling!! Very few birds about, 
but I happened to spot a Sooty FOX SPARROW scratching in a gulch along 
the Hidden Springs trail.

I walked down the Guadalupe River trail north from Blossom Hill to the 
end of the trail, also very quiet. On my way back an adult  AM. AVOCET  
flew in and walked to the edge of the pond under freeway 85. It stood 
around bobbing its head, probably wondering where the heck he was. I've 
never seen one here or in Almaden Valley.
