Tonight, driving east across the Dumbarton bridge, I saw a
huge fire with very dark smoke coming from the southern Santa Clara hills,
south of Mt Hamilton. The radio says there is a large wild fire in Henry Coe
State Park that started about 2pm today. Threatening some cabins. 35 crews on
the ground tonight with bulldozers, water tankers return in the AM. So just in case you were planning to bird there tomorrow…. I know this is not exactly bird related but it’s news
about places we bird and care about. http://www.mercurynews.com/ci_6793235?source=most_emailed Kris Olson |
