[SBB] Sunnyvale lowland B T Pigeon (pic) and other unusal urban birds

Title: Sunnyvale lowland B T Pigeon (pic) and other unusal urban birds

We moved to a house on Heatherstone Way in Sunnyvale on 10/14.
To my pleasant surprise the next morning, in our neighbour's backyard, perched out in the open on utility wires was a BAND-TAILED PIGEON.

Over the next few mornings, more were seen, the maximum being three. They haven't made it into my yard yet. Unfortunately they are always backlit.

A picture taken on 10/19 is included at:

I have always assumed that the species is restricted to the hills in our area. Could these birds be residents/local migrants or longer distance migrants in passage?

Last week I was travelling so unable to check if they were still being seen. Did not see them over this weekend.

Today 10/29 while driving north on Rt 101, just before the Amphitheatre Parkway exit, I saw a STELLAR's JAY atop a roadside bush.

At the beginning of October (don't remember exact dates) on a couple of days, I had upto 4 WESTERN BLUEBIRDs in the Challenger School compound on Middlefield Rd and Charleston Ave. in Palo Alto.

On 10/12, I had an OSPREY atop the lone tall conifer in the open lot east of Guadalupe Creek along Montague Expressway, before the North 1st intersection.

I have reported this bird before but hadn't seen it in many months.

On 10/13, I had a GOLDEN EAGLE sitting in the field, east of Great America Parkway,  just south of Route 237.
I have now seen a (the same?) GOLDEN EAGLE along the Rt 237 corridor near Mathilda Expwy, Caribbean Drive, North 1st and Zanker Rd over a period of 4 years.
