All,
Although things were very slow this morning (very windy) Frank Vanslager
and I had a solo WHITE-FACED IBIS in the Lockheed- Martin ponds just west of the
"hill" near the Sunnyvale Water Treatment Facility (SWTF) parking
lot. Other birds today included a WHIMBREL (feeding with LONG-BILLED
CURLEWS) in Arzino Ranch (a year bird for both of us) and a flock of AMERICAN
PIPITS on the SWTF "hillside" (flushed by a low flying COOPER'S
HAWK). No sign of the Pectoral Sandpipers.
Take care,
Bob Reiling. |
