Tuesday morning (10/2) Frank Vanslager and I checked out the
Lockheed-Martin Ponds and the large (West) pond of the Sunnyvale Water Treatment
Facility. Best bird was an adult male REDHEAD out toward the middle of the
large pond with a number of Scaup. The White-faced Ibis have been missing
from the Lockheed-Martin Pond nearest the "hill" for about a week. A
couple (perhaps three) SAY'S PHOEBES and seven RED-NECKED PHALAROPES made
the "notables" list. Lots of YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLERS and ducks in
basic plumage otherwise it was pretty slow. No rare gulls :-(
