[SBB] Sunnyvale Water Treatment Facility

All,

Tuesday morning (10/2) Frank Vanslager and I checked out the Lockheed-Martin Ponds and the large (West) pond of the Sunnyvale Water Treatment Facility.  Best bird was an adult male REDHEAD out toward the middle of the large pond with a number of Scaup.  The White-faced Ibis have been missing from the Lockheed-Martin Pond nearest the "hill" for about a week.  A couple (perhaps three) SAY'S PHOEBES and seven RED-NECKED PHALAROPES made the "notables" list.  Lots of YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLERS and ducks in basic plumage otherwise it was pretty slow.  No rare gulls :-(

Take care,
Bob Reiling
