All,
This morning Frank Vanslager and I had great views of a singing CHIPPING
SPARROW in the northwestern corner of the Christmas Tree farm located on
the Palo Alto side of Skyline Blvd. This area is downhill of the ridge
line (the county line) and well within Santa Clara County. Other
notables include VAUX'S SWIFTS (over Alpine Pond), LAZULI BUNTING and
GRASSHOPPER SPARROW (along the grassy hillside trail to Horseshoe Lake).
These sightings were all in San Mateo County. On Charcoal Road we MADE
note of BLACK-THROATED GRAY WARBLER, ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLER, Lazuli
Bunting, WARBLING VIREO, HUTTON'S VIREO, and CASSIN'S VIREO all,
of course, in Santa Clara County.
Take care,
Bob Reiling
