[SBB] Meanwhile, back at the Ranch...

Hi all:

There were zero White-faced or any other species of
Ibis seen at McClellan Ranch today. However, there
were a male and female LAZULI BUNTING hanging around
the trees in the center of the main meadow. The BARN
OWL is generally visible with the naked eye in the
late afternoon. Guided tours are offered and drop-ins
are welcome. Both HOODED and BULLOCK'S ORIOLE come to
the feeders regularly but are unscheduled. The Hooded
Oriole can be seen most any time of day around one of
the palm trees. The Bullock's takes some sleuthing.
WESTERN WOOD-PEEWEES are calling regularly along the
creek. The WOOD DUCKS have become a distant memory.
Worst fear: we scared them off. Best case scenario:
They are there but so dang secretive we won't know it
'til the eggs hatch. But they haven't been seen since
April 17th.

Good Birding,
Bob Power
