Janna, I took a half hour walk along Stevens Creek on Tuesday 3/14 and saw 1
Northern Rough winged swallow! I think I heard two further on. I walked from
La Avenida under and past 101, and back. NRWS are my favorite, so it was
great to see one (them) back!
Also a belted kingfisher flew by.
I didn't see the mergansers that someone else saw but did find 1 pair a GW
Teals.
Kris

I'm unsure if anyone has reported Cliff Swallows this spring. At least
50 were seen this morning on a brief walk along the Guadalupe River
trail north of Blossom Hill Rd. Also seen were a dozen No. Rough winged
Swallows and 5 White throated Swifts. A Belted Kingfisher and 2 Great
Blue Herons were also spotted.
