I'll be in Santa Clara for the next week for SD 2007 and I plan to get a
little birding done on the side. If anyone cares to comment on my
itnieray, you can find it here:

I'd be especially interested to here whether I have a reasonable shot at
finding some of my target species such as American Dipper.
I have two very specific questions:
1. How should I drive to Ano Nuevo from Santa Clara? Through Half Moon
Bay or Santa Cruz or La Honda Road? (I have elephant seal tickets
Tuesday afternoon.)
2. I'm supposed to lead a bird trip from the conference to Sunnyvale
Baylands Park. However the daylight savings time change is really going
to compress our schedule. The park officially doesn't open till 8:00 or
so, but last year the gates were open much earlier (probably all night)
and people had parked there. Is that still the case? If we drive over,
will we be able to park so we can drive back? (Last year we took cabs
and walked back to the hotel, but we had an extra hour of daylight
before the conference started.
All advice is appreciated. Thanks.
