[SBB] Common Loon at Shoreline

Hi All,

 

I happened to meet Frank Vanslager at Shoreline lake this morning and he was kind enough to point out the previously mentioned loon to me.  I believe it is a juvenile COMMON LOON.  When we first saw it we were standing on the beach between the snack bar and the golf course.  It was way out in the lake, maybe 150 yards from shore.  It stared to move towards us, and I moved towards it along the shore and was able to get this photo as it came to the surface after a fishing dive.
