Early this morning, on the first .4 of a mile of the Canyon Trail at Monte
Bello (starting from gate MB03 off Page Mill), there were two LAZULI
BUNTING, three GRASSHOPPER SPARROWS, three ASH-THROATED FLYCATCHERS, two
NUTTALL'S WOODPECKERS, one WHITE-THROATED SWIFT, and one female AMERICAN
KESTREL among twenty-three species seen or heard in a brief walk. Some
COYOTES were howling up a storm - quite cool!
