[SBB] Bald Eagle

This afternoon I took a friend up to see the now unoccupied Bald Eagle's nest on Calaveras Road above the reservoir.

 

A bit later, while scoping a kettle of Turkey Vultures about three power poles to the northwest, I was treated to a juvenile Bald Eagle soaring underneath.  Quickly one of the vultures dove on the eagle, which seemed to scurry downward and westward out of sight.
