Hi. In
response to the request for local maps...
The San Francisco
Bay Bird Observatory, San Francisco Bay Trail Committee and the Coastal
Conservancy produced a "Birding the Bay Trail Brochure" including
16 birding spots in
the Bay Area. You can request a free copy online at http://www.sfbbo.org/activities/index.php .
I really like this guide. I am also new to the Bay Area (new to the state in
fact!) and I find the guide very useful. The guide
includes:
- 16 popular
birding areas around the San Francisco Bay
- Site accessibility
- Short bird list of expected species
- Directions
- Map showing all the sites
You are also welcome
to email me directly at [[email protected]]. I would be happy to
send you a copy!
Thanks
Stephanie
