Kendric's South Bay Birders Unlimited website has everything you need, including links to all sorts of maps:

There is also the Santa Clara Valley Audubon Society's 'Birding at the Bottom of the Bay' publication available at their office in Cupertino.

 

There are also both beginning and intermediate birding classes that include field trips given thru Palo Alto Adult Education.  You can 'Google' their website.  My good friend, Lisa Myers, has an interesting website and offers birding trips to local spots:  www.letsgobirding.com.
