[SBB] Salt Pond A16

Walking out the south levee of salt pond A16 (behind the EEc in Alviso)
this morning, I encountered Roland Kenner heading in the opposite direction.
He told me of a Black Skimmer on the second island. When I got there, I
found two Black Skimmers, likely a pair. One of them was taking postures
in a particular location which was strongly suggestive of nesting here,
although I cannot prove it. Two Caspian Terns were also on this island,
but just seemed to be standing around. Of course, there is lots of
nesting activity here by Forster's Terns and American Avocets, with some
young visible. Since I see young Black-necked Stilts less often, it was
neat to see a family with three mostly-grown young (in the New Chicago
Marsh across from the beginning of A16 island 3). Not much else new to
report from here. A Barn Owl peering at me from just inside its box
entrance provided an unusually good view.
