[SBB] Robins, Tipi Hendren style...

after the rain broke this morning, I decided to go run errands. Going
outside, I found the trees up and down the neighborhood stuffed full
of American Robins. Easily 8-10 birds a tree or more, and I counted
60+ just within easy sight of the house (just east of central park
santa clara).

unrelated to this, we've seen the niger feeder activity take off in
the last week, and we're now seeing goldfinches showing up in breeding
plumage.

Aren't the robins in this number weeks early? I seem to remember the
packs of robins moving through in previous years in March?
