Tuesday morning, 2/27/07, Pat Kenny and I saw two adult BALD EAGLEs in the
same tree in their usual place on the west shore Calero Reservoir. This was
about 8:10 am. Then at Almaden Reservoir, about 10:00 am, we refound the
TOWNSEND'S SOLITAIRE in a toyon bush 40' towards the dam from the No
Swimming sign. It spent its time quietly in the bush, occasionally moving
around to grab a berry or two.
Both reservoirs had their usual COMMON MERGANSERs and SPOTTED SANDPIPERs and
Almaden its 40-odd WOOD DUCKs.
