As Bill Bousman reported, there was a Barrow's Goldeneye pair on
Shoreline lake. The Hooded Merganser had moved on from Geng road by
4 PM. There were 4 Cackling Geese on the slough below Byxbee park at
5 PM, but no Short-eared Owl around. I spotted a mixed flock of
about 10 swallows over the baylands marsh along the 101 frontage road
that had at least 4 Violet-green Swallows and 1 Rough-wing Swallow.
There was a Lincoln's Sparrow with a flock of White-crowned Sparrows
beside the parking lot on Terminal Way at the end of San Antonio
road.
