[SBB] recommendations for web cam to capture bird feeder activity

Hello South-Bay-Birders,
I need some advice on purchasing an economic, trustworthy web camera that could be mounted near bird feeder activity and possibly near nesting activity. I am wondering about solar versus traditional battery or plug-in models. Is it necessary to house the camera in a container of some kind? What do I need in order to stream video over the internet? I thank you for your comments.
