Today as I was driving over Pacheco Pass at noontime, a flock of six
AMERICAN WHITE PELICANS were seen flying southeast. They passed over SR152
about 1.5 miles east of the Fire Station, and about 4 miles east of Casa de
Fruta.
On a separate note, I have not seen the Yellow-billed Magpies along SR 152
between Gilroy and Casa de Fruta my last few trips there. Are they still in
this area? Or were they deleteriously affected by the West Nile virus?
