[SBB] The orioles seem to be gone..

It looks like our orioles have vamoosed -- ti's been about a week
since I've seen any sign of them (on the feeder, or their calling
cards below it), and feeder usage has gone down significantly. We had
at least one, possibly two, sets of hoodies around, and at least one
fledged youngster came out of it. No idea how successful the
mockingbirds this year, other than we seem to have a very large and
vibrant family in the area (especially at 3AM).

I've also seen and heard a couple of scrub jays, which means the
mockingbird nesting is done, since the mockingbirds always kick out
the jays from the neighborhood in the spring.

Other nesting highlights this year: crows (one left the nest early
and I don't know if it made it, one seems to have fledged okay), and
california towhee (which also seems to have left the nest early and I
don't think it made it -- we tried to get it back in the tree and
failed); FWIW, if some group could use a California Towhee nest for
some reason, I'll try to get it out of the tree and get it to you...
Let me know.

It's been a banner year for hummers here, but no rarities.
