All,
At about 11:50 this morning (8/22) Frank Vanslager and I had two basic
plumaged RED KNOTS fly into the mouth of Stevens Creek with a mixed flock of
shorebirds (BLACK-BELLIED PLOVER, SHORT-BILLED DOWITCHERS, WILLETS, and
MARBLED GODWITS). About a half hour later a juvenile Red
Knot joined the birds feeding there. There were no birds of interest
in Crittenden Marsh or Salt Ponds A2E or B1.
Take care,
