Around 11 this morning, 08-21-07 a juvenile SEMIPALMATED SANDPIPER was foraging about 15 feet from the boardwalk at EEC. (Tom, it was perfect for your camera.) Dave Weber came by later and said that it looked like the one he saw yesterday with Bob and Frank. It stayed near the boradwalk for about 40 minutes before flying farther out.
I caught a brief glimpse of the 2 BLACK SKIMMER chicks on the first island. One of the parents chased another skimmer from the island and pursued it over to the second island.
