This morning Kay Partelow & I birded the Stevens
Creek Trail near La Avenida Street in Mountain View. The highlight was
a VAUX'S SWIFT flying in the vicinity of VIOLET-GREEN and CLIFF SWALLOWS.
Nearby we also saw a molting male WESTERN BLUEBIRD, a couple
of HOODED ORIOLES, 2 streaky GREAT BLUE HERONS, GREAT EGRETS, SNOWY
EGRETS, BUSHTITS, AMERICAN ROBIN, HOUSE FINCH, OAK TITMOUSE and BLACK
PHOEBE. There were dozens of red crawfish in Stevens Creek.
