Just got back from Alviso and a windy walk out to Ai6 where a winter plumage BLACK TERN was foraging with the Forsters over the algae mat in the SE corner of A16. It was even kind enooigh to land on the first island so I could get a solid ID.
Also, a question. Some of the juv terns looked like they could be Least Terns or could be molting into adult (Forster) plumage. Are they Leasts ?? I didn't see any Leasts in A2 earlier today.
