[SBB] Ed Levin

Intermittent sun, clouds, and wind at Ed Levin County Park this morning.
Two male LAWRENCE'S GOLDFINCH preened in low trees across from the
hang-glider parking (Randy Little mentioned he'd seen three pairs).
Bullock's Oriole and Western Kingbird were all about. Hiking up toward
the Sycamore gulch, I met Mike Mammoser coming down. He backtracked to
show me the GRASSHOPPER SPARROW he's spotted earlier, about 50 yards up
beyond the trees. Thanks to Mike's sharp eyes and ears we found four
GRSP, at least three male LAZULI BUNTING, a HOUSE WREN, a LINCOLN'S
SPARROW, and another male LAGO. The GRSP and LABU offered great scope
views and lots of song. The HOWR was particularly vocal and uninhibited.
Also, a RUFOUS-CROWNED SPARROW called, but didn't appear. I believe Mike
said he had a Vaux's Swift, among the numerous White-throated Swift and
swallows.
